A wonderful book especially with the Audible version.

I love Maya Angelou and her death was a great loss for all. This book is something that I enjoy browsing through and reading but I was lucky enough to purchase the Audible book at the same time and that is what makes this so worthwhile. Ms. Angelou is reading the poems and having her voice doing the reading is priceless. Its to soothing and meaningful to have her reading the poem to me, she places the emphasis where she wants it so the meaning is more insightful for me.

This Will Touch Your Heart

I've never read much poetry, but I've been seeing Maya Angelou quotes and was intrigued enough to want to read some of those poems in their entirety. She paints such beautiful and detailed pictures with her words. She recounts social history that few young people have experienced or have known. I found it to be both heartbreaking and inspiring. I'm ready to read more! This one was an easy read; it only took me an evening. I'll be reading it again!
