I am Kyte's student, but we all call him Rick. Just like being in his classroom, the book engages you in this ethical conflict between choices or situations in the world that are happening or that we encounter. It has provoked me to look at things in my life differently and I am now more aware of the ethical environment. The struggle is really with the self. Rick focuses on "truths, consequences, character, and fairness." Taking those elements and honestly applying them to examples in our environment help see things in a new light. I enjoyed the book and recommend it. It helps understand the world, strange as the world is...

An excellent book with practical applications to everyday life

I have followed this author's columns in the LaCrosse Tribune for years. I find his writings thought provoking and practical. I am currently reading this book and will send it to my colleagues in Taiwan for their review when finished. Richard has produced an excellent book that has application to the daily life of individuals. It is easy to undestand and will prove to be an asset in the classroom and in the individual life of anyone reading these pages, student or senior citizen. I feel there is a great need in our nation, and around the globe, for education in the practical application of ethics in our daily dealings with others. I find this book fits the bill to a "T".An Ethical Life
