About the Author
W.V. "Duffy" Graves was a pipe fitter/pipe fitter foreman for over 25 years. After retiring from Shell Chemical, he taught pipe fitting at Lee College in Baytown, Texas for several years while staying active in the pipefitting profession. During this time he saw the need for a handy, easy to use reference manual that could be carried in the field. The result was The Pipe Fitters Blue Book and its companion, The Pipe Fabricators Blue Book.

There is a lot of useful information in this book. I highly recommend it if you are in the welding profession. They have pipe take-offs, offsets, orange peeling of pipe, and fish mouthing of pipe information. The information is a little tricky to read at times- some of the tables force you to back and forth between the tables to be able to read them. If you know what you are looking for, you can find it in this book.

The Pipe Fitters Blue Book is a complete reference guide for a professional pipe fitter. It is the only reference guide allowed for while takeing NCCER test. It is by far the most complete and usefull book in the field. I highly recomend this book for all pipe fitters. I have others pipe fitting manuals and guides but this book has the best information. This book is written by pipe fiiter and it is for pipe fitters.
