Don't bother

This booklet contains only very basic building instructions. The part about stringing the lyre isn't clear either. it mentions stringing from right to left but does not say whether it means as you're looking at it or from the right side as you are holding it. The playing directions and songs aren't great either. Do an online search for "Anglo Saxon Lyre" and you will find much better plans and instructions (free and paid). This booklet was of no use at all.

NOT FOR ALL LYRES!

My biggest complaint for this is that it doesn't clarify it is for a 6-STRING Anglo Saxon Lyre. I was looking for more info and songs to play with a 4-string lyre which is also called the Anglo Saxon or Sutton Hoo Lyre. A total waste of money for me. Like the others who made comments, there is a great deal of information available online for free that is much clearer and much more detailed than the info in the book.

Not very helpful, simplistic

Not a very helpful book, too simplistic, doesn't really get into much of the theory behind it. You're pretty much better off just reading up about lyres online.
